About us

Sad Seaside Club is a love letter to the strange emotional magic of the British seaside.

Rain-soaked promenades. Aggressive seagulls. Chips in the wind. Sunburn in April. Emotional support birds. Tiny moments of melancholy wrapped in seaside humour.

Everything we create is built around original hand-drawn black-and-white illustrations inspired by coastal Britain — especially the wonderfully eccentric atmosphere of places like Whitstable, Margate and old seaside towns that somehow feel both nostalgic and slightly surreal.

Our world is filled with grumpy gulls, damp holidays, seaside fortunes, tragic chips, awkward joy and oddly comforting chaos.

At its heart, Sad Seaside Club is about finding comfort, humour and connection in imperfect places.

Because sometimes the beach is windy, your chips get stolen, and life still turns out strangely beautiful.
